Brought friends visiting from Southern CA, Seattle, and Greensboro to give them a “real” picture of Central FL. jharv022025-05-01Verified Great activity for a group or a couple in Mount Dora Thank you Captain Nate and First Mate Donna for a great tour filled with history of the area, and a good variety of wild life. Saw several alligators, large blue herons, small blue herons, egrets, turtles and even a snake. We even saw a bald eagle soaring overhead. Dottie T2025-04-29Verified Great Lake Dora cruise! Beautiful area! Interesting wildlife. Captain Nate and mate Aiden were friendly and informative. Two hours well spent! Angela B2025-04-29Verified Highly recommend! Great experience! My sister and niece were visiting from Virginia and I wanted them to see what the real (non-commercialized) Florida is all about. I have lived in Florida for close to forty years and have been on the Harris Chain of Lakes hundreds of times (including guided canal tours), so imagine my surprise when I too learned some things I didn’t know. The captain and crew were friendly, informative, and went out of their way to accommodate all passengers on board. Granted, it was a weekday so we were afforded a lighter boating traffic day, but what a great experience! Suzanne P2025-04-27Verified Good, better, best We took the 2pm tour. Captain John was a great navigator and narrator. Paula was very informative and on the look out for wildlife. I would definitely take the tour again. I'm from St. Louis, MO visiting family. Very different from Missouri! Tom C2025-04-27Verified Very enjoyable two hour cruise in Mt. Dora FL on a beautiiful afternoon My wife and I spent a very pleasant and informative 2 hours on the Premier Boat Tour with Capt. Mike and First Mate Donna. Seats face forward on a large pontoon boat offering excellent viewing and comfortable bench seats with cushions. It is covered. Bottled water is available for $1 or you can bring your own on board. The canal is narrow and has a very tropical feel. We saw egrets and alligators along the way as well as centuries old cypress trees. We saw an eagle nest high in a tree along the lake.I am retired Coast Guard and approved of their safety measures before during and at the end of the cruise. I would highly recommend this as a day trip when you visit Mt. Dora.Finding a parking spot in downtown Mt. Dora was a challenge as there was a festival going on so allow plenty of time to park and walk to the dock. The return walk is uphill. Pat L2025-04-25Verified Informative 2 hour boat tour Crew was very informative and told us the history of the area. We saw many alligators, birds, turtles. We even saw an eagle which happened to put on a show of catching a fish Martha S2025-04-12Verified A wonderful day at the Dora canal Excellent 👌 Aidan and the captain were really good at the tour. Highly recommended. We really enjoyed it, my 11 years old son too. JandH2025-04-12Verified Top of the line Lake tour The two hour boat tour of Lake Dora, Lake Eustis, and especially the canal / river connecting the two lakes was wonderful. Nice comfortable boat, skillful skipper and fabulous naturalist all made this one of the best lake/river tours I've ever experienced. Saw and learned a lot about wildlife. Learned a lot about the history of these lakes, and the associated structures and developed areas around the lakes. The canal and river between the lakes had gators, turtles, snakes and birds to see galore.
