Reservations/bookings are made over the phone with confirmation paperwork sent by email. Payment needs to be made 2 weeks in advance and can be by check (Mailed to PO Box 457, Mount Dora FL 32756), bank transfer (details will be emailed) or cash (paid at our Boat House at Lakeside Inn). If you have to pay with a credit card a 3% fee will be added.
Our rates do not include tax, it will be added if you do not provide a Tax Exempt Certificate. Tax Exempt Certificate would need to be emailed or mailed to our PO Box ahead of the tour date.
All bookings will be provided with a schedule of events which will be customized to your group.
Our 2 larger pontoon boats are 38 feet long. Sea Haven carries 22 passengers and Captain Doolittle carries 21 passengers.
Yes, our pontoon boats are Inspected Annually by the United States Coast Guard (USCG). They carry everything required to comply with their regulations. This includes lifejackets, fire extinguishers, first aid kits and life rings. The boats are very stable and have high rails around the sides.
The boat is captained by a USCG licensed captain. The tour guide is also the first mate on board the boat and is qualified in first aid and CPR. All team members are part of a Drug Testing Consortium, meeting USCG requirements.
Our pontoon boats sit right next to the dock, so there is little or no gap. There is sometimes a step (depending on lake water levels and passenger load). There is always Captain and Crew to lend a hand to passengers with crutches or to assist with a wheelchair onto the boat. We cannot get scooters or power wheelchairs onto the boats.

Our pontoon boats are not only covered but also are fitted with drop down plastic windows, so that no matter the weather conditions, you can stay dry.
We always suggest you dress appropriately for the conditions; it is often a few degrees cooler out on the boat.
Dress appropriately for the temperature and weather conditions of the day. It can be a few degrees cooler when the boat is moving over the lake, so if you get cold easily bring an extra layer. Boat is covered so you are shaded from the sun, hats, sunscreen and sunglasses are optional.
